St David’s Day – Wednesday 1st March
On Friday 1st March, we will be celebrating St David’s Day. Your child will take part in a range of fun and exciting activities linked to Wales. Please can your child be dressed up in a Welsh traditional costume or wear red clothing. Diolch!
St David’s Day Half term/Home school challenge
In celebration of St David’s Day on Friday 1st March, please encourage your child to have a go at
creating a 2D/3D piece of art/craft work that you think best represents Wales. It can be a poster,
drawing, painting, collage, model of a symbol of Wales (Dragon, Daffodil, Castle, Sport, flag etc)
Key Stage 2
Please can your child create a 2D piece of work or 3D model for their selected group.
Year 3 – Love spoon
Year 4 - Castle (appropriate size)
Year 5 – Dragon
Year 6 – A symbol of Wales
Please make sure you bring your home school challenge into school by Wednesday 28th February as
we will be judging them on that day.
We can’t wait to see what you make. Have fun!
We've really enjoyed handing out stickers in the playground celebrating those speaking welsh. We
have also heard a lot more welsh spoken around the school which is ardderchog!
Our next celebration will be Dydd Miwsig Cymru/Welsh Music Day which is celebrated on 9th
February this year - look out for pictures on Twitter of how we celebrated the day!
