Wednesday 2nd December - Mrs Nicholls and Eco Committee Platinum Eco Assessment today
Friday 4th December - Football Fiesta Fun Workshops for Year 4. Please wear outdoor PE kits
Monday 7th December - Pupils will be filming their Christmas Concerts this week. More details to follow
Please can I remind everyone to try to avoid blocking access to driveways when dropping off or collecting at school. Thank you for your co-operation.
Please keep trying to socially distance at the school gates. Masks are encouraged if you are able to wear them. Many thanks
This year we are preparing an Online Christmas concert which will be made available to you all soon.
We have also purchased an online pantomime as well as other treats for our children.
Christmas Bubble Parties will also be arranged for the last week of term.
Guinea Pigs – Holiday home
Christmas is fast approaching and we are asking if you would like to look after the guinea pigs for the 2 week holiday? (Please ask permission from mum and dad)
Please see Mrs Chiplin or Mrs Manley for details, or write to us if you are interested in fostering the guinea pigs. Put your child’s name and year group on the letter, sign and return to school. Thank you
Foundation Phase Christmas Concert
Please can we remind parents to send their children into school wearing their Christmas costume (as outlined previously on letter) on Monday 7th December, so we can film the concert. Thank you
We are hoping to edit it for parents to view on a You Tube link that can only be viewed via the link sent by school, and this will be available by the end of term.
No DVD’s on sale this year.
Please can I ask that any Christmas cards pupils wish to send to each other remain within their bubbles. Any cards for pupils/friends outside their bubbles may not be brought or delivered in school. A number of schools are stopping Christmas cards completely and so currently we are asking for parents to limit them this year at school.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Any further information from the local authority will be shared with all parents straight away
Nursery Christmas Fun
Nursery have been busy decorating their Christmas tree and working on the Nativity story in preparation for Christmas!
We have had an exciting week experimenting with the green screen. Check it out on our Year 6 page on the new school website for our videos reporting on the Divali Festival.
Year 5 had a fun and busy week! We have been enjoying maths this week looking at the perimeter of irregular shapes and learning all the properties of 3d shapes. We have even used Chromebooks to teach us to draw animals. We love Friday when Football Fiesta is in school. We got our certificates this week!

Please can I ask all parents to follow us on twitter. It is very easy to do and doesn’t cost. This is a great way to see on a daily basis what your children are learning and how they are learning it. @StAthanPrimary
You simply ask to follow us and within 24 hours you will be given access. Give it a try!
