Information

After 29 years employment in the school as a committed nursery teacher, Early
Years lead and Health and Wellbeing lead, Mrs Harris has decided the time has
come for her to leave St Athan Primary School and move on to pastures new.
Mrs Harris has been devoted to her role, our children and to this school and will
be greatly missed. I'm sure you would like to join me in thanking her for her
hard work and dedication during this period and wish her all the best in the
future.

New Term advanced notice:
Current nursery pupils who are returning to nursery in September will start back on Tuesday 3rd September.
There will be no phased return for these pupils. Thank you.

Armed Forces Day
On Friday 28th June, we are inviting our military parents into school to celebrate Armed Forces Day. We are asking for parents to arrive at 1.15 where arts and crafts activities will be available to enjoy with your child(ren) including some cake decorating! We also have an RAF Officer coming along who will answer any questions the pupils may have. Activities will finish in time for the end of the school day.

SUMMER FAIR

Stalls will be available for local crafters, etc if you wish to come along to support

our school’s summer fair. Please contact the office for details.

Parking Reminder
We have had concerns raised regarding parking on the road leading up to our school. We are asking, for the
safety of our children, that you park in an alternative place. This is solely for the safety of our community.
The local PCSO has been informed.
Cyclists
As the weather has changed and become so warm and sunny, more of our pupils will be riding to and from
school. We will remind them about road safety but we also ask that you be alerted to them as you are
driving towards the school. Many thanks
Absences
Absences can be emailed to main school email address to enable registers to be updated with correct absence codes. This prevents the need for phone calls during the day.
Football First
All prizes will be sent to school soon – They are due this week.

Remember if your child forgets their snack – we can help.
Uniform Swap Shop
We are pleased to say the Swap Shop will be on Mondays starting at 3:10, in the Community Room.
Please come along and support us with this valuable opportunity. A big thank you to those who have already
popped along and those who have donated uniform.

Reid’s Digital Music – please see attached letter to advise of cost etc...
Reid’s Digital Music will be hosting a 5-week Saturday club designed for all Key Stage 2
pupils. Starting on June 15th, the club will take place in Stanwell School’s music department, room
MT1, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Pupils will learn to create their own original compositions using the
popular music production application, Reason.
This is the fourth instalment of our Saturday club, which has consistently received excellent feedback
from both children and parents. Attached is a promotional PDF letter with links to our online enrolment
form, which you may send to school parents via email. To secure a spot, parents should enrol their
children no later than Sunday, June 9th

Co-op Special continued thanks to the Co-op at St Athan for continuing to donate fruit to our bottomless fruit bowl.
This fruit bowl is be used if anyone has forgotten their daily snack.
