Summer Term Update

Summer Term was another busy time for us with April being Month of the Military Child. We really enjoyed celebrating by having a "Purple Up" day, creating finger paintings of dandelions and baking Camo Cakes for all the military children in the school. We especially enjoyed watching the different patterns the cakes created. You might have also noticed purple ribbons tied to the railings outside school. Our Little Troopers wanted to show how many military children we actually had in the school, so we decided to tie a ribbon for each one of them. The children loved how colourful it made the front of the school!

Armed Forces Day also fell during Summer Term and we knew we needed to mark the occasion somehow. Miss Parker led an assembly leading up to June 24th explaining all about AFD and how and why people across the UK celebrate it. We also had some fun activities to complete during the week in our classrooms including colouring ins, wordsearches and even some morse code for the older children.
